This is the question we see popping up all the time, and since we’re a vinyl records manufacturer, I’ll try to answer the question “how much does it cost to press a 12-inch vinyl” the best I can. 

The main factor when it comes to any product really is quantity. 

The more units you order, the cheaper it gets. 

And the same is true for vinyl records. 

For example, ordering 100 records in classic, the single sleeves will cost around £14 per unit. 

Ordering the same vinyl records but in the quantity of 300 units bring the price significantly down to around £7.5

Another factor affecting the price is the style of the sleeve and potential extras like coloured vinyl, shrink wrapping, inserts etc

All extras add to the final price and should be considered when placing your vinyl record order. 

Pressing a 12 inch vinyl can be expensive if you only go for a minimum quantity, but it can be very profitable if you can get 300 units or more. 

Remember, the more you order, the cheaper it gets, and as an investment, vinyl is something you can keep selling to your fans over the years.
